Baking in Microwave Mode

After my last post on DK's blog about Baking in Microwave Convection mode, many people commented asking queries about Microwave baking. So me and DK decided we need a sequel for the same.As I have mentioned before,I started my Baking lessons by cooking in the Microwave. Many hard cakes and soggy pizzas and uncooked cookies later,I tamed the beast, lol.

Hop on over to DK's blog where we have done a post exclusively on Microwave baking.Hope you find the post useful.

  1. Awesome pos, Divya. I bake using my micro too, pure convection mode. Works perfectly :) Only caveat would be the size!

    1. Hi reetu, try baking at a lesser temperature for a longer duration. For eg if the recipe says 180C for 40 minutes, try baking it at 160C for 55 minutes or so.Keep trying till you get an ideal temperature to bake, you'll be able to work out the timings according to that.

    1. Hi Fathima,a regular 1/2 kg cake should be done by 30-40 minutes when baked in a preheated oven at 180C.
